Teapot, dictaphone with recording

Putting one's ear to the spout of the teapot, the sound of a voice humming can be heard from within. The tune seems vaguely recognisable, then not quite, then changes, the voice seemingly improvising, possibly aimless though enjoying itself.

The work exists as an object to be approached and the sound discovered (as the ear picks it up on moving towards the teapot), and also as a performative work whereby people are asked if they would like to listen and the teapot spout is held to their ear.
